Wow. Such a relatable piece. I just love your writing - with a story, to analogies that stick, lessons for us to learn. Also a big fan of your digital art. Keep writing along. Also, so cool to hear about the microscope breakthrough. For me, when I stare into the microscope, everything looks the same still. Haha.

I have so many thoughts after this essay, maybe a longform conversation with you someday :D I remember four years back in my msc program, breathing surviving 'underwater', making mistakes, blunders with proofs, projects. I questioned at that moment whether I made the wrong choice. It's all about emotional resilience as you correctly pointed. It is that steep blip/learning curve that ultimately helps. Thanks for sharing and good luck! States is a breeding ground for innovative ideas too:) glad to hear your experience. Keep writing!
